Blade & Rose

Blade & Rose is a fun and funky children's clothing brand that was started in the Lake District by Amanda during her maternity leave in 2010. She was fed up with boring leggings that didn't match her expectations for comfy kidswear. So she designed her own, with unique and colourful characters on the bum, working evenings and weekends around two toddlers.

An important part of the design process was to make sure that the fabric is durable, functional, will wash well and most importantly, is soft and kind to baby’s skin. Today it is sold in independent shops like ours around the world. The name? Inspired by their two children, Harvey Blade and Issey Rose of course!

Sustainable production is important to Blade & Rose. They have worked closely with the same factories in India and China since they started, visiting them and developing long term relationships. Their main supplier is also a family business and all their our children have met on a trip they made.

All their suppliers are expected to respect the well-being of their employees and are certified with BSCI certificates. " A BSCI audit helps a business monitor its supply chain to ensure the suppliers are treating workers ethically and legally"
