Eco Rascals Bamboo Tableware

Eco Rascals is a British brand designed to make sustainable stylish with their range of bamboo and silicone tableware that is as funky as it is fun, with the aim of making parent's lives easier and kid's mealtimes happier.. 

Founded by two Mums, Kristina and Celeidh, they've shared plenty of  ‘feeding time at the zoo’ moments and the constant eat, snack, eat that growing children do. So they designed their super suction plates that even the strongest little one can't budge. No more dinners on the floor! And when an Eco Rascals cup falls over you can put them upright before water floods all over the floor.

Their mission was to make them stylish and environmentally friendly. Plastic is becoming a worldwide no no - nearly every part of plastic made today is still on earth floating in our oceans, endangering wildlife or piled high in mountains of waste that are exported from first world countries to third world countries.

Who wants to go to all the trouble of preparing great food for your children and then serve it up on plastic and melamine that could potentially leech toxins into their food? Plastic was not an option, even though it is cheaper and quicker to manufacture. 

The sustainable alternative they chose is bamboo - the fastest growing plant in the world that is grown and harvested without the use of pesticides. It's not dishwasher safe, but that’s small price to pay to protect our planet and ensure your kids are eating from something non-toxic. They are super easy to clean in warm soapy water and can be left to dry.
